Hi everyone!

Since it’s almost Christmas I’m sharing a Christmas-recipe with you guys! A Bûche de noël! (Christmas Log) It’s a traditional dessert recipe that is often made in France, Belgium and many other countries. I discoverd this recipe about two years ago, and I’m making it for the whole family every since (only not this year because of my moving-to-Amsterdam-story)
It’s actually very easy to make, but it definitely has a wow-factor when you serve it!

What you’ll need:

– 300 gr of whole Gingerbread (ongesneden ontbijtkoek)
– 1 litre of cinnamon icecream
– 3 big vanilla meringues
– 400 gr of Nutella

For the decoration:

– 2 tablespoons of powdered Sugar
– 100 gr of blueberries (or any other fruit you like)
– 75 gr of chocolate holly leaves

Cut the gingerbread in lenght in 4 slices // Put a piece of bakingpaper ontop of a piece of cling film and lay the 4 slices of gingerbread next to each other // Crumble the meringues over the slices of gingerbread // Now divide all of the icecream over the meringue-covered gingerbread slices // Now roll it all up with help of the baking paper and cling film untill you have a firm and thick roll // Cover the roll in some tight layers of tinfoil and put it in the freezer for at least 5 hours // When it’s time to serve your dessert get it out of the freezer and cover it in Nutella // To decorate it, use a fork to to draw lines in the Nutella so it really starts to look like a log! // Now for the final touch sprinkle some powdered sugar on it and top it off with some beries and chocolate Holly leaves, enjoy!

I hope you like this recipe and if you try it please let me know! ;)

Lots of love and have a nice day! ♥
