A while ago I told you I went to the Rob Peetoom salon for a hair make-over for Fashionista magazine. Unfortunately that hair make-over totally failed (my own fault) so I decided to tell you all about it in today’s post since the Fashionista magazine with my ‘make-over’ and interview is out now!
Ok, you might remember that I dyed my hair purple a while ago with a semi-permanent paint from Direxions. Well, that didn’t worked out as planned because everything was purple except my hair (slightly, but after two weeks it was already washed out). I decided to just let it be because it wasn’t visible at all, but after about two months I noticed my tips were a bit turqoise/green! (my tips were lighter from a leftover ombre) But by that time I already knew I had a hair-make-over soon so I didn’t want to dye/damage my hair more before that day.
For the make-over I wanted to dye my hair proper purple, or in a more cooler brown colour (a bit greyish/ash-coloured). When I arrived at the salon we decided to make my hair more cooler since that was less-damaging and had a beter expectancy. So they de-colourd my hair and after that put a ash/blue dye in my hair. After a few hours and my hair was washed an dried it turned out green! It was like I was a natural blonde, dyed my hair brown and jumped in a pool full of Chlorine. Not a good look for me I can tell you. So a warning for everyone wanting to try the ‘semi-permanent’ Direxions paint, don’t do it! It’s not washable like the description says, and you will end with a ugly colour that just has to grow out of your hair because you can’t dye it again. My hair still has a greenish/lighter glow if you look carefully.
So the only option was to go back to my dark brown colour. After 5 hours in the salon I walked out with the same hair as before :p Of course this all was for a hair make-over for a spread in the magazine, so we decided to give me fake bangs so they at least had some material to work with.
Looking back at these picture I’m actually starting to doubt if I should get bangs again (I had bangs for most of my childhood/teens). What do you think, are bangs a good look for me?
Oh, and if you want to read my interview from this spread you can find it on page 34 in the most recent Fashionista issue! ;)
Lots of love and have a nice day! ♥
